The end of Instagram (and other unneeded services)

For a long time Instagram was part of my life. As a photographer it made totally sense, even though Instagram forced us for a long time to rape our pictures into certain ratio and some other "practicalities".

Recently, Instagram started spamming me every couple of minutes to enter my birthday.

In all unneeded situations, while driving, during a phone call, when I was presenting from the phone and it did not even stop for the pornhub app. This is what I need now, an Instagram popup that I can get easily rid of, blocks the way to answer phone calls and no way of clicking it away and so on.

I can fully understand the need to change. Change is the only constant in my life. I am mostly (for some time) even fine having the knife at the throat to fulfill some new (in my POV) unneeded requests when I open the app. I can very well live with a need to upgrade because of breaking changes, as a Home Assistant user I looking every month with excitement forward to the new list of breaking changes...

But when you want my data, only one thing is true: Wer f***** muss freundlich sein (if you wanna score, be nice).

Thank you Instagram for helping me getting more and more rid of Meta in my life.
